Hola. (That's hi in Spanish) That's me on the left. As you can tell from the picture, I'm a very skinny person, as well as being a 2-dimensional being. Unless you're from my school, you only know me as words on your computer screen. Remember that the next time you get frustrated with your computer

Quality of Life Beats Quality of Mercy. Anytime.

The article “The Quality of Life Beats the Quality of Mercy. Anytime.” By Alphie McCourt is an interesting article. He talks about how getting a parking ticket like he did can be a very frustrating experience. That part of the article actually frustrated me just reading it. I’ve always had problems with authority like that. I just hate, more than anything else, that even when there are problems with their decisions, you cannot argue because if you do, it is you who gets in trouble. He was in a similar situation in his article.

This especially annoys me because in his article he mentioned other crimes with small results. For instance, he mentioned that a 10-year old girl was harassed and the man got 10 minutes in prison and 20 minutes community service. Now Alphie McCourt has to pay a fine because it doesn’t matter how many people are in the car, as long as it’s the driver. Also, the limo in front of them is blocking a fire hydrant and he doesn’t have to move because the driver is in there. Alphie got to his car while the person was writing his ticket. I have no idea what I would do if it happened to me.

  1. I did not get the story at all (I'm not good with remembering what I read, that's why I re-read paragraphs and such). But anyway, you make a good point. If I got a ticket I would punch the police officer and run (then again maybe not.....)
