Hola. (That's hi in Spanish) That's me on the left. As you can tell from the picture, I'm a very skinny person, as well as being a 2-dimensional being. Unless you're from my school, you only know me as words on your computer screen. Remember that the next time you get frustrated with your computer

My two days of no school

This was an interesting weekend. There were a few pros and a few cons, but I had fun.

On Friday my Dad picked us up at 4:15 PM. How typical. He came forty five minutes later than he said he would, and he complained when I held him up for five minutes looking for my stuff. That began our three hour journey up to the Catskills where our Upstate cabin is located. My cousin, his parents, my Dad’s cousin, and my grandparents were all there.

On Saturday my Dad planned us to go hunting for crows so we waited for some crows to come out in the field. (I don’t really enjoy the idea of killing things for no reason, but oh well) It was just the eight of us: My Dad, his cousin, Dan, me, and four shotguns.

Luckily, no crows showed up, but my Dad suggested I shoot anyway to see how it’s like.

Imagine a jet taking off. Now imagine it right next to your ear. The shotgun is louder than that. I actually lost my hearing for a few seconds with a continuous ring for hours after that. I think I can still hear it, two days after, but it might just be my mind. We went back about a half an hour later but came back later that day.

The next day we went apple picking, as we do every year. It was fun, but I can’t actually eat the apples without the assistance of a knife thanks to my braces, however.

That was my weekend, with some good parts and bad parts. Overall, I enjoyed it.
