Hola. (That's hi in Spanish) That's me on the left. As you can tell from the picture, I'm a very skinny person, as well as being a 2-dimensional being. Unless you're from my school, you only know me as words on your computer screen. Remember that the next time you get frustrated with your computer

Ouch

It was an embarrassing incident. Every now and then I imagine what it must have looked like for me to lose my balance and fall off the machine.

Last Thursday ago in our Physical Education class we had the choice of going to play soccer, basketball, or go to the weight room. I did the latter and started working out. Then I remember walking over to this one machine, where you do upside-down sit ups with a weight. I picked up a 25 pound weight and I got on the machine. Right as I got on, I lost my balance and fell on my side with my hand out. I remember the side of the weight falling down on my finger joints and then falling on my hand. It hurt and I looked at it, but I just wanted to get back up on the machine and forget it ever happened. I did the exercise and my hand was still hurting. I looked at it, at the blood all over the base of my fingers. I told the teacher and I was on my way to the nurse’s office. I first tried the closest one, the one next to the gym. I walked over there only to find a sign telling me that the nurse was in the other office. As I walked, I found that I needed to take longer and deeper breaths, and as I looked at my blood-covered hands, I would start to see more distortion in my vision.

By the time I walked down the hallway to the nurse’s office, I was almost gasping for air, otherwise I would pass out. My vision was distorted and yellow spots started popping up everywhere. I found myself sweating and I was getting dizzy. On my way to her office, I even considered just sitting against the wall and closing my eyes, maybe even sleep for a few minutes, or maybe until someone wakes me up, with blood gushing out of my hands. I decided against it and finally, after what seemed to be 20 minutes, I got to her office. “Again?” She said, because the day before I had a bloody nose and had to come in. I came in and she told me to wash my hands. I stumbled over to the sink and turned it on, put my hand under, and just close my eyes for about a minute. Without bothering to dry my hands, I went to sit back down. She told me put my head between my legs. Instantly I felt blood rushing to my head and I could think clearly again. I got to lie down and wait for my fingers to stop bleeding. I tested them to see if they could still move and feel. They could and I felt better about it.

At the time of this writing, It’s pretty much back to normal, save for the black, blue, and red, as well as me not being able to lift anything over 5 pounds without it hurting horribly.
